Weaver Lake: A Science, Math & Technology School holds STEM in Action Fair

Weaver Lake: A Science, Math & Technology School hosted their annual STEM in Action Fair the evening of Nov. 20, where students and their families/caregivers spend time at the school to show what they have done in their science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) units throughout the first trimester.
Each grade level at the school focuses on a different STEM inquiry every trimester, and the students had plenty to share with families.
Some examples included butterfly habitats and artwork for the kindergarten unit, which also included live butterflies, animal habitat creations and artwork from first grade, food chain art and infographics from fifth grade, and many more.
Weaver Lake: A Science, Math & Technology School’s students have rich learning opportunities through inquiry-based, hands-on science and math activities. The school’s environment allows students, teachers and families to find the scientists in themselves through simulation, exploration and discovery. Learn more about Weaver Lake.
